i might be a total idiot, but can someone help me read this thor3 program? so when you look at the first link, for the first nine weeks it has strength training days 1-3, which is excellent because the second link (the strength training plan) has workouts for days 1-3, and then it goes to the next week. for week 9 and onward, the strength plan has day 1-2, but theres only one day for each week on the thor3 schedule… when the fuck am i supposed to do day 2? both exercises are grouped under “b” so maybe i am supposed to super set those two and move on to the “c” exercises? this program is highly recommended by tons of folks, but holy fuck it reads like hot garbage. just do the strength conditioning as a second session on a lighter impact cardio day (like the walk days) or on the weekend if there’s not a specific day set aside for strength training. if you’re training to go to sfas, strength training should be secondary to getting a lot of miles with your ruck on and getting your cardio up.
be able to do pullups but honestly for pullups losing weight through cardio works better than trying to get stronger. check to see if you’re base has an sfas prep program; those usually are run by either green berets and/or recent graduates of sfas before they ship to sfqc. in the old days the free sealfit wod used to be pretty good but i’m not sure if that’s stayed constant over the years. my advice would be to find a recent graduate of the course and pick their brain. idk this is all really old advice but i hope it helps. my post (jblm) has an sf pt program that the recruiters run, but i haven’t investigated to see if they do anything more as far as instruction goes. thankfully i am 100% comfortable with the land nav, i was an 11b for three years and an fso for another year and a half, and map reading/terrain association and navigation was a huge component of what i did.
