not trying to discourage you, you could be born to sell, but i think it’ll be hard for you to get an interview at all. if you need more advice shoot me a pm, happy to share how those companies are recruiting, what they’re looking for and what’s imporant for the interviews. i won’t sugarcoat it, but it’ll be hard for you if you don’t go to a top college and have decent grades (oracle has hard 3.2 gpa floor, but most acceptances have a 3.5 or higher, in addition to leadership experience). and oracle did hold mass recruiting events for entry-level sdrs at my school, and of similar caliber (ucla, georgetown, like you mentioned), etc. you can still apply, but if you didn’t go to a target school, there’s a 99% chance you won’t get an interview, and even if you do, you won’t get a job. if they reject top students at uc berkeley and cornell, it’ll be hard for you to compete.
if you want to work at oracle, it’d be more realistic for you to find a sales job elsewhere, build up your resume and network, and after a few years under your belt, apply to be an account executive at oracle as a professional hire. kind of off topic, but basically i have finished my interviews with oracle for the class of program and just got an email saying they’re excited to move forward with me in the “approval process.” do you know if this means i got the job? or is there still a chance they still say no even if i pass the background check? apply to oracle, then apply to everywhere else. but the only way you get in is through networking and persistence to make yourself stand out considering your gpa isn’t great, you don’t go to one of those schools or a “prestigious” school, and you didn’t mention any internships/work experience.
has anyone in here gone through the oracle class of program or know of anyone who went through it? received an i’m currently an sdr at oracle and graduated from the “class of” program. i won’t sugarcoat it, but it’ll be hard for you if interview for oracle class of program. i have been actively searching for the first step in my professional future after, oracle class of program salary, oracle class of program salary, oracle class of program review, oracle class of bdc reddit, oracle class of interview reddit.
