bridging programs are for all immigrant newcomers (and not just refugees) who already have a combination of international post-secondary education and work experience, as well as a high level of english proficiency. they offer: sometimes, the term “bridging” is used to describe a program for newcomers that is not officially recognized on the government of ontario website. programs which have just recently started, for example in january or september, are dropped from the list once they have started in the current semester, and we may not yet be able to post the next occurrences of the same programs, until some time after. for the 2017-2018 academic year, schools in the gta with eligible programs included: if a program has been declared eligible, the internationally trained professional must then apply to the financial aid office of the approved college or university.
